When I first moved to Church Hill, I started Carsons in 2019, a home renovation company built around my growing appreciation for Richmond’s historic homes.
Growing up around these old houses, I developed a genuine love for the craftsmanship, character, and stories built into them. I quickly realized that renovating a historic home was about more than simply updating a property—it was about preserving something that had already stood the test of time.
That belief shaped the foundation of Carsons. Our business model became centered around the stewardship and restoration of the historic homes throughout Church Hill and Richmond, with an emphasis on preserving their character while giving them a new life.
What started as a home renovation company quickly became something much more. It was my introduction to the Church Hill community—the people, the neighborhood, and the culture that make the area so special.
Through Carsons, I wasn't just restoring houses. I was becoming part of the community I was investing in.
And that experience became the foundation for what Carson Investments would eventually become.
